We’ve been counting down to launch since the end of last year and finally Doc Ready is ready for lift-off! You can read lots about the project over the coming months, but in a nutshell we’ll be working with young people to design a web tool to help get more out of visits to the doctor, particularly visits to talk about mental health.
We’ve had lots of conversations with the young people from the Right Here project (more on that here) and they told us they want something that helps them know what to expect from a GP visit, helps them get ready for it, and make a note of what happened at the end.
Our mission is to make something awesome that meets their needs and we’ll be working with them every step of the way. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, from workshops to feeding back on the tech when it’s built, so give us a shout if you want to be part of it.
The project has been a while in the making, it’s being paid for by a few partners (see who at the bottom of the page!) and you can find out more about where the money’s coming from here.
We’re really excited to be working on this much needed project with young people and mental health organisations to develop, design and build digital tools that reflect young people’s real-life experiences and can really make a difference. So if you’re a young person or involved in mental health services and would be interested in getting involved, or just want to find out more, we’d love to hear from you…
Keep up to date with everything we’re doing right here on this very blog, we can’t wait to land!
